Rainer Rosegger
Rainer Rosegger is a Austrian sociologist. With his agency SCAN he has been working with topics and processes of urban and regional development for over 15 years. From 2008 to 2013 he was active organiser of the Lendenwirbel in Graz. In 2012 he became a co-founder of ROSTFEST in Eisenerz and has since been responsible for its artistic programming, sustainable local grounding of the festival in the region and its supra-regional connections. He has taught at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz as well as the TU Graz. Since 2013 he is a member of the advisory board for culture for the city of Graz. He is also part of the management committee of the European research and development network „From Sharing to Caring: Examining Socio-Technical Aspects of the Collaborative Economy“ by the European Science Foundation. Rainer Rosegger works with processes of societal transformation, in which art and culture oftentimes play a special role.
