The Funambulist

Founded in 2015 by trained architect, LĂ©opold Lambert, and later joined by a handful of team members, including Noelle Geller, Flora Hergon, Nadia El Hakim, Margarida Waco, Carol Que and more, The Funambulist is a bimestrial print and online magazine articulating questions relating to the political dimension of the relationship between bodies, design and the built environment. As such, it proposes a resolutely decolonial, anti racist, feminist, queer, antinormative approach in its reading of the built environment politics that challenges the conventional thinking of architecture. And through its mobilization of various scales and geographical contexts, The Funambulist transcends art, design, humanities and architecture through perspectives from various scholars, thinkers and practitioners from around the world.
