Marion Von Osten
Marion von Osten (Berlin, Germany) is an artist, exhibition maker and writer. Together with Peter Spillmann, she is founding member of the design collective Labor k3000 Zuerich/Berlin and initiator of the project fallingwild and the model-facade at Haus der Statistik.
She was the artistic director and co-curator of the global bauhaus imaginista project (2016-2019) with Grant Watson; as well as Viet Nam Discourse (2016-2018) at Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart and Tensta Konsthall Stockholm (with Peter Spillmann); Aesthetics of Decolonization at ZHDK Zurich with the Center for Post-colonial Knowledge and Culture (2014-2016); Model House–Mapping Transcultural Modernisms at Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna (2010–2013); In the Desert of Modernity – Colonial Planning and After at Les Abattoirs de Casablanca (2009); and at Haus der Kulturen der Welt in Berlin (2008) (with Tom Avermaete and Serhat Karakayali ); Projekt Migration in Cologne, initiated by the German Federal Cultural Foundation (2002–2006) with Kathrin Rhomberg; and TRANSIT MIGRATION (2003–2005) with Regina Roemhild. She received her PHD in Fine Arts at the Malmö Art Academy/ Lund University (Prof. Sarat Maharaj)
